Lacey Lynn Tink’s artworks are fantastical replicas of and commentaries on everyday magic. Organic transitions of her body, coming to terms with disabling chronic conditions, and other lived experiences are cataloged and processed through the images that she makes. Her interdisciplinary practice utilizes material processes related to kitsch and craft to formally explore concepts surrounding the female body and all of the spaces it and self occupy.
Tink received her MFA in Studio Art from the University at Albany SUNY and BFA in Painting and Art History from the Kansas City Art Institute. Native to KCMO, she keeps busy juggling multiple gigs as an adjunct professor alongside her art practice. And while she currently savors being a Charlotte Street Studio Resident, her pups and kitties are lamenting the missed opportunity to spread paint and glitter throughout her home.
